Problem on transferring video with time stamp

I have transferred my home video from my Panasonic NV-DS50A Digital Video Camera to my PC. Then when viewing the video on my PC, it doesn't show the date/time that the video was originally recorded. When viewing the original video tape on my digital camera, it does show the date & time. Please help on how to capture the video with the date and time on the PC. Thanks.
