How do XVCDs appear?

I used TMPGEnc with the xvcd template to create a xvcd (took about 6 hours). But viewing the file under properties it comes up as an mpeg-1. I know that's the file type, but shouldn't it look like a vcd (multiple folders - "CDI" "EXT" "MPEGAV" "SEGMENT" "VCD")?
